Dedicated to America’s favorite flower: the Rose!

The Archie & Edalee Brandt Memorial Garden features a beautiful planting of deep red ‘Europeana’ floribunda roses. Floribunda Roses are characterized by their profuse ability to bear flowers in large clusters. Note the bronze sculpture of soaring eagles that graces this garden by the artist Sicard.

To the left of this garden, you will find our secluded Durham Japanese Tea House and Garden. This garden is undergoing a renovation of both structures and plantings to better represent a tranquil Asian garden. Note the delicate Japanese maple trees and our “ever expanding” collection of bamboo.

Across the pathway you will find the Danielson Wishing Well Garden and a collection of older hybrid tea roses. Close your eyes, make a wish, and let us know when it comes true. This garden, with its close proximity to the forested area, is a favorite for enjoying an occasional “rose salad” by our resident deer herd.
