To be awarded to the highest scoring standard size rose arrangement in a special challenge class placed in competition each year at a District show, or one of the larger shows held by an affiliated/chapter club of that District. The trophy will be offered for a special class known as “Say It With Roses”, in a competition class open only to any member of the American Rose Society at the time of competition. The winning entry must score 92 points or higher.
Betty Pavey Arrangement Trophy
This trophy is named for Betty Pavey of the Buckeye District, a prominent, early arrangement teacher, exhibitor and promoter of rose arrangements in the ARS.
The minimum requirements shall be a standard size modern arrangement using any style of modern design that is specified in the schedule. The style of design must be listed on the entry tag. Only arranger grown (AG) roses, properly named on the entry tag, are to be used in the arrangement. Roses must provide the predominant floral interest.
The Chair of the ARS Arrangements Committee shall approve the wording for competition of the trophy at each rose show.
