ARRANGER'S UPDATES - May 2007

Arranger-Grown :


Think Spring.....at least for those of us in the northern part of the country. St. Paul, MN. National Convention June 28 to July 2, 2007.  There are three National Arranger Classes in our Spring Shows.  Arranger Grown roses must be used in these classes.

This year, the class titles are:

NORA KATHERMAN Class. Standard AG in the Oriental Manner incorporating two or more containers of varying heights. "Reflections of St. Paul".

BEA SATTERLEE Class. Mini Mass AG using miniature roses. "Nature's Jewels". (Mini and/or Mini Flora may be used.)

RUSS ANGER Class. Standard Underwater design. "Thomas Jefferson Looks Beyond the Mississippi".

Join other arrangers for "Roses on the River Front".

Clarification concerning the New Classes of Duke, Mini Princess and Mini Duchess. Schedule writers must use the class descriptions as stated in the new "Guidelines".

  • DUKE, Any classification of type of roses, with or without fresh and/or dried plant material. Larger than 10", smaller than 20". This is arrangers choice of styles, schedules cannot set the design to be used or specify a certain classification of roses to be used.
  • MINI PRINCESS & MINI DUCHESS, arrangers choice of style. Mini and/or Mini Flora roses can be used.

Read the new guidelines to make sure the schedules are written correctly so the exhibitors will enter correctly and be Judged correctly.

ARS Medal Certificates
Standard and Mini Classes, Traditional, Modern, Oriental Manner, Table, Princess, Duchess, Duke, Novice and Junior Classes are eligible for ARS Medal Certificates if Arranger Grown and scoring 92 points or more.

Dried Rose arrangement Classes, Personal Adornment and Judges Classes are not eligible for ARS Medal Certificates.
