ALL ABOUT ROSES

Exhibiting Roses

This section contains articles about the different ways for preparing, transporting and exhibiting roses in rose shows. Each kind of rose has a distinctive "type" and the judge at the show is looking for the rose that comes closest to his or her remembrance of the perfect rose type for that rose.

Roses are divided into many different classes, but the ones most often exhibited are Hybrid Teas, Grandifloras, Floribundas, Miniatures, Climbers, Ramblers, Shrubs and Old Garden Roses. Within these broad classes there are many ways to subdivide the exhibition - but most roses will find a class to enter within these scheduled competitions. Each of the articles here presents a particular author's ideas and experience with their roses and their exhibiting tips.
