You’ve heard of Planet Earth and Planet Hollywood. Now you’re invited to Planet Roses — a world filled with roses from beginning to end! Join us April 29 through May 2 for an outstanding ARS Spring National Conference and Rose Show held at the home of the American Rose Society Headquarters, Shreveport, LA. Activities will move between the American Rose Center and the Shreveport Convention Center, with our convention hotel, the Hilton Shreveport, conveniently located adjacent to the Convention Center. With the Shreveport Rose Society and ARS staff as hosts, attendees will choose from a schedule filled with rosy options — all flavored with a bit of Louisiana’s unique culture.
Conference Hotel
The Hilton Shreveport is the official conference hotel. We’ve secured a block of rooms with the following special rates: Single Rate: King rooms are $139 for single or double occupancy; $149 for triple occupancy; $159 for quad occupancy. Double Rate: Double queens are $129 for single or double occupancy; $139 for triple occupancy; $149 for quad occupancy. There is limited availability for King rooms, so be sure to book early. Reservations are now being accepted and may be made by calling the Hilton Shreveport at 1-800-HILTONS (1-800-445-8667) and mentioning code ARA. Further information about the Hilton Shreveport may be found by visiting their website at www.shreveport.hilton.com. Reservations must be made by April 15, 2010, in order to receive the discounted group rate. After this date, rooms will be at the prevailing rate and subject to availability.

Name A Rose
Would you like the chance to name a beautiful exhibition rose? Noted rose hybridizer Eddie Edwards is offering this opportunity to one lucky person whose entry will be drawn at the Shreveport 2010 convention. The winner will receive three rosebushes of the rose named. You may donate $5 per chance or $20 for 5 chances. There is no limit to the number of chances you take, and you do not have to be at the convention to participate. All entries must be received prior to April 29, 2010. (The rose will be registered with the American Rose Society, International Registration Authority for Roses. Name must be approved by the IRAR. All rose rights will remain the property of Eddie Edwards and his assigns.)
