The spectacular Gardens of the American Rose Center, located on a 118-acre wooded tract in Shreveport, Louisiana, and is home to the national headquarters of the American Rose Society. It is the nation’s largest park dedicated to roses!
The gardens were dedicated in 1974 when the American Rose Society headquarters moved to Shreveport, Louisiana from Columbus, Ohio. Today, the American Rose Center features more than 65 individual rose gardens and 20,000 rosebushes, with a variety of companion plants, sculptures and fountains.
Official Rose Bloom Season
The official rose bloom season is from April 1 through the end of October. At the end of the year, the gardens are magically transformed into a winter wonderland of twinkling lights for Christmas in Roseland.
Hours Of Operation
NOTICE: The Gardens of the American Rose Center will close at noon on Friday, September 3. The Gardens will be open for normal business hours on Saturday and Sunday and will be closed on Monday, September 6, for the Labor Day holiday. Normal business hours will resume on Tuesday, September 7.
Gates are open from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Monday- Saturday and 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Admission
- Adults: $5.50
- Seniors: $4.50 (age 65 or older)
- Children 5-12: $3.50, must be supervised by adult
- Children under 5: Free, must be supervised by adult
- Groups of 10 or more: $3.50 each
- Cart tour: $10 inclusive (our cart tours are temporarily suspended due to maintenance issues.)
